Founded in Berlin, autarc is a ~50 person start-up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech, and Operations, with a growing Marketing and Content team focused on building a strong and authentic brand.

We are on a mission to empower installers to become one-stop energy providers through software and are continuously expanding how we tell our story to the outside world.

Role description

We are looking for a Working Student in Video Production & Content who is currently studying film production, media design, or a related field and has a passion for video creation and storytelling.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality video content for various formats and channels, from ideation to final delivery. Your work will include explainer videos for YouTube, social media ads, motion design, and more storytelling-driven content such as vlogs, CEO content, and behind-the-scenes stories.

This is an excellent opportunity to further hone your skills in film production while actively contributing to the visual identity and storytelling of autarc. You will work closely with a Senior Marketing Manager and a Graphic Designer as part of the content team.

Other responsibilities include:

Producing explainer videos with screen recordings and editing them for YouTube
Shooting and editing short-form content for social media (Reels, stories, and ads)
Adding motion design and animations to make content visually engaging
Creating long-form content like vlogs, CEO content, and behind-the-scenes insights
Overseeing the full production process from pre-production to post-production
Working with the content team to improve video production quality and efficiency

Requirements

Currently enrolled (only for working students) in Film Production, Media Design, Digital Media, or a related field
Solid experience and knowledge of video production, editing, and motion design
Proficiency with tools like Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.), or similar software
Strong interest in creating content for digital media and social channels
Hands-on approach and ability to take ownership of video projects
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Based in Berlin with a willingness to work at least two days per week from our office in Mitte

About us

Right now, 25% of CO2 emissions in Europe are caused by heating our buildings. In order for this to be reduced, the transition towards renewable energy needs to be simplified and made more accessible. There are too few installers to meet the growing demand for heat pumps, and a solution to match this trend needs to be brought to the market.
autarc is developing the leading operating system (OS) for heat pump installers, enabling a more digital and efficient installation process for heat pumps.
Through this, autarc is reducing the hurdles to decarbonizing single-family homes and small apartment buildings in Europe, with the goal to help with the planning and designing of 1 million heat pumps by 2030.
